What's the perfect dessert to serve at the end of your pizza party? Another pizza! This pecan indulgent pizza features a delicious cinnamon bun crust, cream cheese sauce and a decadent pecan praline topping. Make sure you save plenty of room for dessert – you're going to want seconds.

Making the Crust

Plan ahead when you want to make this dessert pizza, since the dough needs to rise for 2 hours. The ingredients you need are:

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 ¼ cups warm water
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup melted butter, cooled slightly
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Combine the sugar, yeast, and water in a bowl. Let it rest until frothy, and then stir in the cinnamon, butter, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Beat until a soft dough forms, and then stir in the remaining cup of flour. Knead by hand for 5 – 6 minutes. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, and cover it loosely with a lid or aluminum foil. Let the dough rise for 2 hours, and then punch it down.

Form the dough into a ball, and place it on a pizza pan to rest while you work on making the cream cheese sauce and praline topping. It needs to rest for 20 minutes in total.

Making the Pecan Praline Topping

Ingredients you'll need:

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine the butter and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer, and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove the mixture from the heat, and stir in the vanilla. Stir in the pecans, and then stir to coat them evenly. Spread them on a baking sheet to cool.

Making the Cream Cheese Sauce

Ingredients you'll need:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine the ingredients in a mixing bowl, and beat until smooth (about 2 minutes).

Assembling the Pizza

After the dough ball has rested for 20 minutes, stretch it out to form a 14-inch crust. Bake the crust for 20 minutes at 400 F. Remove the crust from the oven, and let it cool for 30 minutes. It should only be slightly warm to the touch when you begin to top it. Spread it with the cream cheese sauce, and then sprinkle on the pecans. Slice, and serve!
